Ladies Rugby

We are in our 5th season (2011/12) since affiliation with the RFUW. In only our third season we were champions of RFUW National Challenge Midlands 2 division. Last season we played for the first time in National Challenge 1 and it was a good learning curve for us as we improved our results and the strength of our squad as the season progressed. We are looking to build on the excellent reputation of Stourbridge Rugby Club and establish ourselves as one of the top Midlands ladies rugby teams. This season we are actively recruiting experienced players and ladies new to the sport , to push for promotion to the Ladies Championship and ultimately the Premiership ladies league.

Ladies 1st XV

We have an enthusiastic group of Ladies and we are always looking for new recruits to join us. We are keen to recruit new and experienced players to strengthen the squad in our push for promotion. We are fully involved in the Regional/County Rugby Programmes, from which a number of players have played for the Midlands regional team. All coaches are RFU Level one or two qualified and we retain the services of a physiotherapist to attend matches and training sessions as part of our duty of care to the players.

Any Ladies who are interested in playing should come to Stourbridge Rugby Club on either Monday or Wednesday evening at 6:45pm for our training sessions; or contact one of the numbers below.
