An Old Edwardian and First Team wing forward, Dippy took up refereeing in the sixties and was honoured by a Daily Telegraph article in February 2008 acknowledging his forty years with the whistle into his eightieth year.
He was also a keen golfer and took up croquet in his 88th year. He was a regular attendee at any home game watching the First XV and The Lions.
We extend our condolences to his wife June, children Jane, Elizabeth, Martyn and families.
The funeral will be held at 2:10pm on Friday July 20th at Stourbridge Crematorium and afterwards at Stourbridge Rugby Club.
