The May Lunch has become our flagship event attracting a wide mix of Midlands businesses who enjoy the opportunity to network with colleagues and associates in a relaxed atmosphere.

We are delighted that our speakers this year are Jason Leonard OBE and Michael Vaughan OBE.

Jason was capped a record 114 times for England and 5 times for the British & Irish Lions. It was back in 1996, when captaining England against Argentina, that he scored his one and only international try. Jason was made President of the RFU in 2015. In this World Cup year we look forward to his predictions and mature guidance of how Eddie Jones can return victorious from Japan. It is also Cricket World Cup year, hosted here in England, as well an Ashes year starting at Edgbaston on August 1st. Who better to have as a second lead speaker than cricket pundit and victorious Ashes captain back in 2005 than Michael Vaughan OBE. Amongst other claims to fame, perhaps Michael’s greatest achievement is that, as an occasional off spinner, he clean bowled Sachin Tendulkar at Trent Bridge. No doubt Michael will also have many a tale to tell as well as further guidance on how to win the World Cup and regain the Ashes.

Philip Serrell will be our guest auctioneer and to add extra flavour to the afternoon, ex-British and Irish Lion John Bentley, whom we welcome back to Stourbridge, will be our Master of Ceremonies. This year we will be joined by several intrepid walkers and cyclists who will have made the trip from Twickenham to Stour for “Pass the Ball - By Hike Or By Bike” in aid of the Prostate Cancer Fund at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham and the RFU Injured Players Foundation. Details are available on their new “Just Giving” website. Anyone is welcome to join in all or part of the walk/ride.
