Sunday 15th May 2016 @ Stourton Park

  • 12:00pm - the fun commences
  • 2:30pm - BRIEF few words from myself
  • 2:45pm - age group medal presentations; this will commence with the Micros and Under 6 age groups being congratulated by us all in the stand. This will be followed by the older age groups holding their own individual medal presentations with their coaching team at a time to suit themselves – everyone will be able to use the stand if they wish.
  • 4:00pm - time to go home!

We are hoping that the sun will have his hat on and have planned lots of activities to make it an enjoyable day for all age groups, these will include:

  • Last Man Standing *
  • Sumo Suits *
  • Treasure Island *

* there will be a small fee payable for these activities but there will be plenty of free games to take part in too, such as:

  • Tug of War
  • Caterpillar Tracks
  • O2 Touch
  • Kicking Competition
  • Rugby Ball Shy – whoever heard of a shy rugby ball??!
  • It’s a Knockout Style games

There will be plenty of food and drink to purchase on the day -

  • a pig being succulently roasted by Shippo and his team
  • sweet stall
  • the bar will be open all day serving soft and alcoholic drinks
  • and our resident
ice cream man will on site too!

We are planning to raffle a “barrow of booze” and hopefully a mystery rugby themed gift – don’t forget to buy your tickets! You’ve got to be in it to win it!

Bruce Foster will be on hand throughout the day to take professional photographs of the children in their Stourbridge colours for you to purchase.

We are hoping that our friends from Mary Stevens Hospice, Worcester Warriors, the Scouts and Rugby Tots will be able to join us, however, these guests have not yet been confirmed.

Obviously in order for the day to run smoothly and be a great success we need some help to achieve this - So thank you in advance volunteers!

Listed below are the areas where we need help:

  • We need donations for the Booze Barrow – can you please take any bottle donations to the Club and hand to Miles Edge in the office prior to 15 May (dangerous I know!) OR if you aren’t able to get to the Club, can you please pledge your donation to Chris Roe chrisroe@globalnet.co.uk (equally dangerous I realise!)
  • If you have any equipment that you could loan for the “It’s a Knockout” themed games (with a view that they might not be returned in the same condition as loaned/not returned at all) can you please advise Alison Holloway alisonholloway71@gmail.com

Your age group Team Managers have already pledged support on your behalf; details below, parents please take it in turn to man your position!:

Micros – It’s a Knock Out Themed Games

Under 7s – Mystery Prize Raffle

Under 8s – It’s a Knock Out Themed Games

Under 9s – Rugby Ball Coconut Shy

Under 10s – Sweet Stall

Under 11s – Kicking Challenge

Under 12s – Barrow of Booze Raffle

Girls – Finance Officers for the * Items

02 Touch – Steve Holloway plus other coaches and older age group players if available

That’s all from me, and I look forward to seeing you all on 15 May to end the season in a spectacular fashion!

Many thanks.

Tom Skinner
