The plans to improve the floodlights on the two back pitches and add them to the minis' pitches, has been given the go ahead by the RFU.

We are pleased to report that the floodlighting project, to light the back two pitches has been given the official go ahead from the RFU and we have signed up and agreed the financial support arrangements. There are still a couple of technical hurdles to overcome, not least the planning permission, however we are confident that the scheme will proceed. Additionally we are going to light the mini pitches at the rear of the stand as an in house project. The team is being led by Norman Glover who will manage the project and we expect the contractors to start work in July.

We will need to make a few adjustments to accommodate the new lights although the disruption should be during the close season and therefore will not affect our playing schedule. Once these lights are operational the winter training facilities will be much better and we can cope with the increased playing and training demand we have experienced this season. We know that we will need to provide a significant financial contribution and we are sure that members will be interested in our new bond issue which is due to be released shortly.
