Stourbridge Under 7s in Three Different Counties!
With a squad of 50, Stourbridge U7s were in action across three counties last Sunday.
"We had two teams each at both the Stratford and Solihull Bees
tournaments and two teams at a fixture vs Chaddesley Corbett.
One of our sides went unbeaten at Stratford and won their pool, beating sides from Stratford, Claverdon, Bredon, Kings Norton and Hinckley, with our other coming third in the pool.
Over in Solihull one of our sides again went unbeaten in their pool,
but were narrowly beaten in the final by Droitwich. Our other side
performed brilliantly but didn't get out of their pool.
The children at Chaddesley had lots of fun and we have been invited back there on-mass for a final training session on the bank holiday weekend.
I think it's worth pointing out that we fielded all inclusive sides
across the board, unlike some clubs that we lost too at the weekend, and that all our children regardless of ability have had access to playing in multiple festivals, and are all developing and improving.
Hopefully the size of our section, 50 registered players and the
success, fun and enjoyment they are having will secure future first team players for our club in the future."
