Remembrance Sunday

We ran a slightly longer session this week as the sun was out and the players were brilliant; can we also say how both ages groups were brilliant during the 2 minutes silence for remembering all of the fallen. The coaches and grown-ups were very proud of them.

With the micro’s, again, they concentrated on core sills and even had a chance to tackle the tackle bag; suffice to say that was the most popular part of the session! Will won the cup this week; he is a relatively new micro and has come on leaps and bound in the few weeks that he has been with SFRC. He didn’t stop smiling all session so well done to Will.

With the U6’s we introduced a new game that incorporated passing on the move and then receiving a pass on the move designed by Shaun; this was a great game and the players responded really well. We had a few dropped balls towards the end but that didn’t matter; it’s more about being ready for the pass, the call for the pass and the receipt of the ball.

We finished with the ever popular Sharks’ Vs Pirates which included a pass also and gave them very limited space to operate in. There were no cups back this week so we awarded everyone that attended the session a well done pack of sweets; a big well done to (left to right) Oliver, James, Quinn, Barney I, Scott, Oscar, Dylan, Jack, Riley, Seb, Seth, Blake and Rowan. Henry also attended this session but left earlier so not in the photo.
