The Penultimate Session

The sun was shining again and it was good to get back to everything after a week off for Easter. The focus on this session was passing and handling and also the introduction to finding gaps with limited space on the field.

The micros did extremely well with the new passing game at the beginning and by the end of the game, most were passing accurately to one another which was great.

Building on the theme of defence from last the few months allowed the coaches to introduce 2 vs 1 situations, both in attack and defence to see how they reacted. The 2 vs 1 (2 defenders to 1 attacker) worked really well; some excellent tagging by the defenders and some great tries by the attackers in a limited amount of space.

Overall, it was a very good session and sets the micros up nicely for U6's.

Special thanks to Joe Surch for becoming a coach for the day and helping out; he decided to give the listening cup to Harriett who was brilliant all day.

Next week is the final session of the season and is coaches/grown-ups vs micros, so see you all there!
