5. Stourbridge Academy

Run in partnership with Sandwell College and powered by Community Group, we are proud to deliver a post 16 educational academy right here at Stourbridge Rugby.

On of the biggest and most influential programmes introduced that assists in launching the club into the future is the introduction of our post 16 educational academy programme. A deal that has been brokered by Community Group, a club sponsor and operator of our community department, have developed a relationship with Sandwell College to provide further options for students transitioning from school to college.

The education aspect of programme itself is delivered by 1st XV winger Daniel Rundle, who doubles up as Course Lead, and 1st XV back rower and Sports Lecturer, Benjamin O'Sullivan. Meanwhile 1st XV props, Chad Thorne and Clarkson McLeod organise and deliver the rugby element of the programme, in the roles of Head of Rugby and Assistant Coach respectively, complimenting their additional roles as Head of Community and Rugby Development Manager at Stourbridge Rugby Community Department.
