PLEASE NOTE: This week kick off is at 14:00 when we entertain local rivals from Mortimer Park who will be keen to take revenge after our earlier encounter!
The away fixture saw Stourbridge dominate territory and possession in a 10 Try game with a final scoreline of 19 - 45 despite Stour being 12 - 0 down after 6 minutes! However, a brace of Trys by Joe Heatley, a debut score for Joe Collingham and contributions from Jack Lea, Dan Rundle, George Morgan and Afeafe Haisila were too much for the hosts who only managed 3 Trys and were unable to register a bonus point!
Chris Scott had a personal tally of 10 points courtesy of his right boot but, this week, finds himself at Scrum Half with Afe outside him at 10! The other point scorers all feature tomorrow but injuries and absences mean a different starting line up, altogether!
Stour are currently in 9th place whilst Lucs are 13th and 8 points adrift. Bonus point wins for both sides could mean moving up the table by two places. On current form, Luctonians should be favourites having won 3 / 4 of their last games while Stour have not won since 16th November when we beat Tynedale 13 - 10 at Stourton Park! Since then we have only managed to score seven Trys in 4 games compared with 13 by our visitors!
This is the last game of 2019 and just 4 days before Christmas so we look forward to seeing all our loyal Stourbridge supporters join in the Stourton Park fun and festivities, hoping for a fitting end of year performance.
