1. Introduction to Data Protection at SRFC

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into place on Friday 25th May 2018. It will have an effect on how the Club collects, stores, uses and distributes the personal data of Club Members, Sponsors, Customers and Suppliers.

The Club has taken its responsibilities with GDPR very seriously and with the help of the RFU, is starting to implement measures to comply with the new regulation.

This story on the website will be updated regularly with the details of the policies we are implementing as we put them in place. There will be contacts provided and documents to download to be used in conjunction with the Club's GDPR policies.

Data Protection Officer
One of the first requirements is for Committee to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO). This was done at the last General Committee Meeting in April. Our DPO is Louise Price, who can be contacted on rugby@stourbridgerugby.com or at the Club Office on 01384 395000. Louise will work alongside the Club's Director of Communications, Mark Denison, to implement our GDPR strategy (also approved at the same meeting). Mark can be contacted on markjpd@icloud.com

Stourbridge Rugby Football Club Ltd. - Privacy Policy
The next requirement is to publish a Privacy Policy for the Club on the website, making hard copies available from the Club Office. The Policy was also approved at the April meeting and is available as a PDF download at the bottom of this story. Hard copies are also available from the Club Office.

Over the next two weeks we will be implementing the various elements of the Club's GDPR strategy and updating you via this story, so please WATCH THIS SPACE!
