Our speaker this year is John Spencer, the current President of the RFU. John is a past Cambridge Blue and Captain who captained the Barbarians on eighteen occasions. He was Captain of England in the RFU Centenary Year in 1971 when he also toured with the British and Irish Lions. In 2017 he was Tour Manager for the British and Irish Lions trip to New Zealand alongside Warren Gatland. A solicitor by trade, John held the post of President with our old friends and fellow league contenders, Wharfedale, for over thirty years. We look forward to hearing his tales and, perhaps, some inside low down on our masters at Twickenham.

This annual function tends to occupy most of a long afternoon and has proved to be as much of an enjoyable networking get-together as our May Lunch, as well as being an enjoyable kick-off to the festive season. Since this is held in the club house, tables are limited so early booking is advisable.
