On Friday 29th September, Stourton Park hosted the first of a series of Casuals & Vets mini festivals - 'Friday Night Lights', organised by our RFU CRC - Adam Blackford.

There were over 80 players from Stourbridge, Dudley Kingswinford, Aston Old Eds, Birmingham Civil Service and Veseyans, all playing under the floodlights on the Training and Hoppers pitches. Most of the players were putting their boots on the first time in a number of years, some had never played before.

A sizeable crowd watched a series of six 20 minute games, where players mixed and matched for teams who were short in key positions.

It was a great night and will hopefully encourage more players to get their boots on - if only for the few social beers and samosas after the game had finished!
