Stourbridge Under 11s Roar at Tigers!

A squad of Stourbridge Under 11 players travelled to Leicester on Sunday to represent the Club in a festival organised by Leicester Tigers.

The squad had five games with the first game kicking off at 10:15am, so it was an early start for all involved.

Despite the early departure time the boys won all their games, beating Market Rasen, Beccles, Melton, Milton Keynes and Oadby by playing some fantastic open rugby, scoring an average of seven trys per game without conceding a single score. Not only did their level of play impress, so to their work rate, attitude and conduct throughout the morning.

After a successful morning the boys then travelled to Welford Road where they enjoyed a very entertaining game of Premiership Rugby in which Saracens ran out winners against Leicester in a closely fought encounter.

Our Under 11s were a credit to the Club throughout the day, demonstrating great teamwork, sportsmanship as well as respect for their opponents and the match officials.
