Saturdays game has to go down as the most frustrating game to date after playing the better rugby but losing 29 18 to Old Salts away. With a strong Lions team we arrived at the Coleshill club with a great deal of confidence after previous wins, and a home win earlier in the season.

The game started with an exchange of kicks with each team testing each other under a high ball. Cass Brook made a great turnover, getting the ball out to Owen Williams who went over in the corner adding the 2 made it 7-0.Old Salts came back with a strong attack when George Tildesley made an interception in the centre of the park running under the posts 14 - 0. The half finished with Salts scoring 2 tries and kicking a penalty 14-13.

The second half started with the return of Jim Owen as prop who made a immediate impact, the half was played with the young lions running every ball with the intent to play running rugby but the game finished 29-18.

Unfortunately Salts having a very experienced team and a Referee unable to ref a scrum or the break down without help from the Salts players but that's sport. With the bulk of the lions under the age of 21 they played with real guts and passion to play some exiting running rugby.
