On 17th January 2020, Harry Bennett, aged 16, died suddenly of Sepsis. Harry, a Scrum-half who had played for Bromsgrove, Kings Norton, Worcestershire County and Worcester Warriors Developing Player Pathway was a close personal friend, school and team-mate of Matt Moseley. Harry had a huge personality and once met was never forgotten.
Harry loved sport, and his family have set up the HB9 Foundation in his name. The Foundation is a registered charity and seeks to raise funds in order to help individuals, teams and organisations through the physical and mental benefits of playing sport; whether its funding coaching, travel, equipment or facilities.
Since The Foundation was set up Matt Moseley has been donating £1 for every point he scores, a figure matched by his family.
Stourbridge RFC are delighted to support the foundation and will ‘Match Matt’ and donate £1 for every league point he scores this season.
