Mud, mud and more mud

In possibly the muddiest session of the season, we had a great turnout for both micros and U6’s which included core skills for both sets of players. To further introduce the players to the mud, the micros opted to bring out the big tackle bag and the pads which resulted in some very muddy, but very happy players. Sharks vs pirates was introduced for the first time this season with the micros which included them dodging past the players and coaches who were unable to get their tags. Jack own his certificate for being superb in this game and the second micros certificate was awarded to Jasper who really excelled in his passing this week. Well done to both Jasper and Jack.

In the U6’s we started with the usual diagonal catching and tagging drills where we heard some great shouts of pass; Sid took a bump to the head during the tag element and dusted himself off, had another go and go a tag straight away! The games were pleasing this week with the groups offering a lot of support and teamwork whilst grabbing some very good tags also. We had three certificates awarded this week to Oscar, Quinn and Barney. Oscar got the certificate this week for a great session and always having a smile on his face, Quinn has really developed this year and is demonstrating good confidence now in getting tags and Barney for his all round performance, especially his development with his catching and passing. Well done to all three of you.
