Tagging this week

This was the second session this year where we carried on the theme of giving the tags back once the micro had taken them. Considering this is a relatively new skill, for their second time, they all did very well. This theme will be reinforced over the remainder of the season to prepare them for U6's and U7's.

During this session, we introduced the idea of tagging a specific micro; you'll have noticed over the last few months that we now split into groups that are colour coordinated. This serves 2 purposes being for the micro to remember which team they are on and to distinguish who they can and cannot tag.

We changed the diagonal tag game this week so that a micro from the red team could only tag a micro from the green team and so on. This gave the micros focus as to who they can tag from which will be a skill we build on over the next season. Whilst there weren't many opportunities for the micros to gain the tag, it was very pleasing to see them focussed on one opponent.

With only one cup this week, we awarded the listening cup to Oscar; he responds very well to in-game coaching and is one of the micros that have picked up the giving tags back element very easily. Congratulations and well done to you.
