A welcome return to training!

After a couple of weeks hiatus thanks to the weather, it was great to get back to training in the glorious sunshine. The session this week concentrated on overall skills incorporating dodging, spatial awareness and ball work; we added an element of competitiveness to the relay races to reinforce the teamwork aspect that we have been teaching all season. As it was Easter, we had our annual dress up and welcomed a power ranger, a ninja turtle, several Batman, most of the Avengers and a few Superman into Stourton Park.

We also welcomed two new micros being Huw and Alfie; both were fantastic considering it was their first time displaying very good handling skills and great levels of confidence.

The listening cup this week was won by Tom who we welcomed back after a brief period of absence towards the end of last year; Tom’s listening in game was particularly good this week and responded well to in game coaching. Given that the micros beat the coaches in bulldog on the final game it was fitting to award the second cup this week to best bulldogger and this was won by Wilf; he is a micro that has learnt an awful lot and is one of the consistently brilliant players we are fortunate to have in the micros.

We’ve no training on the 1st April so we’ll be back on the 8th April.
