Stour dug in well for long periods against high flying Whitchurch and with a match day squad of 18 , comprised of 15 forwards and 3 backs, managed to keep the score line respectable. The relatively low points difference might be critical in the final throes of the season.

The back 3 of Harry Tombs, Lewis Wood and Jason Hampton were tireless in a very busy part of the pitch and Ethan Gilbert took on half of Whitchurch with regularity. James Grainger was sharp at 9 and caused problems, but the overall lack of cohesion and bona fide backs, made for a difficult day.

Stour have to really target Burntwood at home on March 21st and Aston, also at home, on April 25th, to salvage their status at level 7.
