It took just two minutes for Joe Heatley to make an impact on the game from full back, scoring an unconverted try. Sheffield replied a few minutes later with a penalty, but when Jack Lea crossed the line for another unconverted try on 21 minutes, it looked as though Stour were well into their stride.
Sheffield however, had other ideas, with 2 converted tries in the space of 3 minutes from Fergus Wood and Rupery Broadley, taking a 10-17 lead. This was short-lived, as Stour settled the Stourton Park nerves again with tries from Thomas Dodd (converted) and Niall Gibbons before the break, making the half-time score 22-17 to Stour.
Sheffield's hopes of climbing out of the relegation zone were completely dashed in the second half, with Stour scoring 19 unanswered points. First up was that man Jack Lea again, for an unconverted try on 49 minutes. Thomas Good scored his second 6 minutes later, followed by Sam Montieri on 77 minutes - both were converted, making the final score 44-17 to Stour.
A great performance by Stour, lifting them to 3rd in the table. Special mention goes to Jack Lea who sone everyone's vote for Man of the Match!
