Two tries from hooker Jack Lea helped Stourbridge on their way to an important win at home to National One basement club Peterborough.
But they had to endure late pressure from the visitors who finished the game on the front foot with two late tries.
Stourbridge controlled the opening half, running in five tries before half-time to go in at the break with a 31-10 advantage.
Back row Sam Montieri was first to go over and scrum-half Adam Shaw added to the tally before Lea bagged his first of the game.
Centre pairing Hal Riley and Joe Heatley also added their names to the ever-increasing scoresheet while the visitors replied through second row Christian Edbrooke and full-back Vuli Veikune.
There were just four minutes gone in the second half when Lea barged over for his second try of the afternoon and an effort from winger Dan Rundle steered Stourbridge into a 30-point lead.
But the visitors rallied as the game went on and a brace of tries from fly-half Nico Defeo wrapped up their bonus point with 20 minutes to go.
An interception try from Mark Harrison steadied Neil Mitchell’s men - Chris Scott adding his sixth conversion - only for Peterborough to run in two more tries late in the game when forwards Tom Lewis and Tom Gulland went over making the most of a late yellow card for Stour debutant Michael Worthington.
