Stourbridge under 9s coaches have praised their players’ team spirit after an away day journey to Droitwich Rugby Club.
Two teams from Stourbridge played games against teams from Droitwich and Dudley Kingswinford in an action packed morning on Sunday November 3.
Coach Simon said the players all tackled well, showing commitment and good technique.
He added “They really came together as a team - even when things were not going their way.”
Coach Dennis said he saw some tremendous support play and he was impressed with how players were moving the ball wide and setting up good runs.
He also said players did well to keep their discipline even though it was hard at times in defensive situations.
In a break from the rule of not mentioning individual players the boys send their best wishes to Sam G-B, who suffered an injury during one of the matches.
The squad says “Come back soon Sam – we need you.”
