Moseley Festival

The Under 10's first real match experience occurred this weekend at the Moseley Festival under a beautiful blue sky.

The boys started out a little hesitant against a really strong side from Droitwich which saw some really aggressive ruck work but some focus from them and some wonderful coaching from Paul M., Si and Dec saw them get their heads in the game for the next 3 bouts.

We suffered 2 narrow defeats by Bournville and Camp Hill but the kids really got their act together against Litchfield winning with no tries conceded.

Due to a late drop out there was a requirement for all the teams to band together to form a Barbarians side to fill the space and I'm thrilled to report that all of our players joined in with enthusiasm and were part of some winning teams.

I think this festival really showed the kids that this season the level of skill and determination has stepped up and hopefully they will learn from this experience in their upcoming matches.

Fingers crossed for the side travelling to Old Yards Festival this week. My only instructions are that they have fun and remember that they will be playing their first matches and so we don't expect anything other than that from them.
