Old Yardlians festival

After a brief warm up and group chat we had our first match of the festival against the home team of Old Yards. They had some great players and a strong defence but we managed to sneak a win and our boys felt confident and ready for the next match.

After a short break for some Haribo Starmix, the boys went on to their next 4 matches one after the other. We played Keresley from Coventry, Edwardians, Old Halesonians and finally Camp Hill. The pace was relentless and the boys were beginning to tire in the hot sun. But for each match they managed to dig deep and pull it out of the bag, managing to win every game! Throughout all 5 matches they conceded only 4 tries and scored a massive 25 themselves. It was a fantastic effort and they were rewarded with hotdogs and certificates by the club.

A fantastic morning of rugby and a great start to the season. Thank you to Old Yards for hosting a fun and successful festival and thank you to all our coaches for keeping the boys focused and positive.
