Stourbridge played some exciting and flowing rugby today at the Camp Hill tournament. Determined tagging with frequent turnovers provided some solid defence and gave us the chance to build winning scores. Fair to say we didn't get off to a great start losing narrowly 9-8 to Old Yards, their winning try being the last play of the match. It proved to be a costly result as it prevented us reaching the final. I don't think we got fully into gear in this first match and if we had played them later on I'm sure the result would have been different! Wins against Camp Hill 8-2 and Bees 9-7 followed which put us into the 3rd place play-off. Old Edwardians proved to be no match for Stourbridge's confident tagging, increasing wing play and forceful runs through a multitude of outstretched hands! Well done to our players:

All the matches were played in good spirit and it seemed that all involved enjoyed the experience - and the free hot food! And well done to Cheryl for winning a raffle prize!
